On Wednesday, November 24th from 3:30-5pm, Patrizia Piccolo will be hosting a roundtable discussion (via Zoom), Location Matters - Legal Considerations for Remote Workers.

During this virtual roundtable, Patrizia will tackle various issues and questions surrounding a remote workforce including:

• Is there a trend on having employees work outside of Ontario for an Ontario company?

• What laws govern remote workers outside of Ontario?

• Where are workers compensation premiums payable?

• Does a remote worker have to be paid in Canadian currency?

• Are there any specific provisions to include in remote working employment contracts?

• Is going to a holiday party outside of Ontario the same as working outside of Ontario?

Patrizia will be discussing the latest legal guidance on these (& other related) topics, but she would love participants to join and share their professional thoughts, experiences, and perspectives on issues arising from a remote workforce.
